I love the idea of this comm so I thought I'd share to help keep it active. My two most recent soft toys with more photos and story below the cut

In the January sales, in Home Bargains (a sort of variety discount store in UK) there was a whole shelf of puppy soft toys, intended as Valentine's Day gifts since the shelf above was full of heart shaped chocolates. T I didn't really have an excuse to get one but I loved them. When I next went in the store, just before February, there was only one left! He was very affordable, maybe £2.50 (possibly £2.99) so around $3? I really wanted him so in the basket he went.

I get to cuddle my sister's dogs but I don't currently have any pets of my own and I did want something to cuddle sometimes. I called him Valentine of course ;) Sometimes, especially if I'm home alone watching TV or I'm watching something very upsetting/scary or I just need some comfort I sit him on my lap and hold him. I like to stroke his ears and they're stitched to his head lower down so I can hook my thumb under one ear :) He's around 8 inches tall. I do sometimes wish he was a tiny bit bigger but he has a perfect place to sit when I'm not cuddling him and anything bigger wouldn't fit.
The second toy is a special knitted teddy, around 10 inches tall. Whenever a child is baptised at our local church they get a knitted teddy from the churchwarden. When a whole family was baptised the mother wanted one too :) And when I got baptised I got one too which was a lovely surprise! I will cherish Teddy. (The churchwarden also knits rabbits and other small toys for sale at summer/Christmas fayres as well as to give away as gifts.)
