Apparently I'm Starting a Squishmallows Collection?

I am not an avid Squishmallows collector, mostly due to price point and space to house them, but I got unreasonably excited about the 5" (4"?) Halloween Mystery Squad capsules this year. We did have a local store that actually got them in, but they also sold out almost completely the same day they went out. I did manage to get one, though I had hoped for more. I knew I would be happy with any of them, even if I did have a hierarchy of most wanted. The pumpkin was at the bottom of the list and the werewolf was at the top.

Things in my life got a bit crazy and I didn't get a chance to open it until November (I had been waiting until Halloween day). It turns out I got the pumpkin Squishmallow with the werewolf's tag. This amused me greatly.

This was also apparently a gateway Squishmallow.

In mid November, the discount grocery store we do most of our shopping at had the entire Desert Squad for a third of the going retail price at the time. I couldn't decide between Asley the Vulture and Oden the Peccary Pig, so I bought both. (I think they are the 12" size.) I did hand them over to someone else to hide them from me until Christmas.

They are so soft and squishy and I have missed them while I have been housesitting.

So fun! I don't collect Squishmallows myself, but my kid sister does. I think the name really suits; they are very squishy and very huggable little fellas.

So true! The name really does fit perfectly, though my brain keeps insisting they are called "squashmallows," which is similar, but not quite right, lol.

I hadn't really heard of these until recently but my younger nephew is very fond of them and I see why, now I've held his and looked at them in stores! He was given (not by me!) the sleeping Pikachu for Christmas.
He's after an axolotl but that's out of price range for his birthday but maybe a smaller squishmallow can be found.

Oh that pumpkin with werewolf is adorable :D What a nice surprise it was that one in the mystery capsule!

They have a way of drawing you in with their cuteness and squishyness. How cute!

I have found that there are 7 basic sizes squishmallows (and a few other specialty ones) come in and almost every character comes in at least 2 or 3 sizes, so there should be a smaller one out there for him :) (I tried to Google which sizes the axolotl comes in to help point you in a direction, but apparently there are about 38 different axolotl characters, some of which are very rare. But, it does look like most of them come in multiple sizes.)
